The device has two chuck, through a series of transmission mechanism and the photoelectric encoder mounted on the top of the measuring device. When the distance between the two chuck changes, the axis of the photoelectric encoder is rotated, and the photoelectric encoder will have the pulse signal output. With the signal processed by SCM, the deformation of the specimen can be obtained.
